If the answer is yes, Hereford Police Male Choir want to hear from you, as you are on their Wanted List as a candidate for the choir’s prestigious Young Musician’s Bursary, worth £1000. The second and third place musicians also receive a financial prize.
A competition for Young Aspiring Musicians for both vocal and instrumental candidates. The Bursary provides a 1st place prize of £1000, where the 2nd and 3rd place musicians will also receive a financial prize.
The bursary was established to mark the Police Choir’s 50th anniversary in 2007 and is sponsored by the Becket Bulmer Fund and Sylvia Richards. The winner will also be invited to perform at the choir’s annual concert in June of that year.
To be a candidate, you must be aged 14 to 22, living in Herefordshire and/or Worcestershire. Your application, or a request for information, should be sent to Alison Houlbrooke, Musical Director of the Choir: aehoulbrooke@gmail.com

Also indicate how you would use the bursary to help achieve your musical or singing ambitions. A shortlist will be selected by an independent panel and invited to take part in adjudications, including individual performances and interviews at a concert venue in March or April in Hereford.
